The first of a series of white papers on STEM education and careers has just been launched by Intel and EU Schoolnet under the inGenious brand. It is the culmination of debates at Intel's Educator Academy EMEA, held in March 2011, which brought together leading STEM educators, policy makers, business and industry to openly share ideas, best practice and insights into STEM education from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The event was held in conjunction withthe UK’s Big Bang Fair, organised by Engineering UK.
The paper outlines the state of STEM education in the EMEA region, and suggests steps locally and across participating countries in order to benchmark and increase future participation in STEM studies and careers.
