
The ECB-inGenious closing event took place between 21-24 Sep in Warsaw, Poland. It included the STEM Educator Academy (a final joint conference of Intel and European Schoolnet, organized in partnership with the European Union Contest for Young Scientists, the University of Warsaw and the Copernicus Science Centre), the General Assembly for ECB members only which was help on 24 September and the 9th workshop for teachers where participants had the opportunity to share experiences with invited teachers and to meet with excellent students participating in the 2014 EUCYS contest.
The main aim of the events which lasted for 3 days and involved more than 150 participants, was to openly discuss the changing ways of STEM education in Europe and beyond and anticipate on future calls for action as identified over the 3 years of the project.
The results for the inGenious competitions 1 & 2 were announced! The winner of competition 1 is Carlos Ribeiro with the entry "Salsicheiro por um dia (Sausage maker for one day)" and the winner of competition 2 is António João Lopes with the poster "Introducing Robotics in the classroom". The winners can chose their pizes between two options:
- They can either attend the Scientix workshop taking place in Brussels between the 24th and the 26th of October, or
- Welcome a EUN staff member in their school for one day to demonstrate industry and school practices collected during the inGenious project.
