Practices Workshop

Welcome to the second Community of Practice (CoP) in the second cycle of inGenious!

It will be open  from 1 October  until 9 November.

This CoP is called 'Practices Workshop' as it aims at giving you, the inGenious teachers, the possibility to exchange your experiences and ways of implementation of some practices with each other.

Many teachers have mentioned that they would like to have space to discuss the practices in order to learn from each other and to see how colleagues in different countries implement them. Thus, this CoP will give you this opportunity and it will give new teachers, who join the inGenious teacher community this year, the possibility to learn from your experience and success stories.

The selected practices to be discussed in this CoP are:

1. Electronic Dice (Philips)

2. Xperimania I and II (CEFIC)

3. Scratch Programming (Nokia)

4. Mathematical tools, Sensor Adventure, Skoool Football (Intel)

This Community will give you the possibility to:

- discuss possible ways of implementations

- find out what worked and what didn't work for your international colleagues

- learn from each other & exchange ideas

- ask each other for advice

- etc.

The Experts

The experts of the CoP will be all of you, as you have the necessary teaching expertise which is needed in order to implement any practice successfully.

However,  one teacher per practice with experience in this specific practice has volunteered to act as moderator for the duration of this CoP.

These are the teachers who will moderate the different practices' discussions:

  1. Electronic Dice -> Helmuth Peer
  2. Xperimania I and II -> Tina Michetti
  3. Scratch Programming -> Eva Raffajová
  4. Mathematical tools, Sensor Adventure, Skoool Football -> Tiina Kähärä

Representatives from each of the different companies who provided the practices are invited to join the conversations.
