| ![]() What is the value of a school/industry cooperation where the pupils work with realworld problems and challenges from the industry?- for the pupils?- for the teacher?- for the industry?![]() This week the participants discussed the value for pupils, teachers and the industry of these collaborations. The students find cooperating with companies fun, different and motivational - and they gain a lot of knowledge about ’the real world’ and community problems this way. Sometimes it only takes a visit to a company, for example a wind turbine factory, to amaze and inspire the students. The teachers gain a lot too: A different way to teach the curriculum gets the students motivated. But cooperation also has to be scheduled in a way that does not create too much stress on teachers. For the industry the students provide ’fresh brains’ – new attitudes toward problems, that the companies might be stuck in solving themselves. And – the pupils might become future employees! |
